WELCOME TO THE PIONEER UNION SCHOOL DISTRICT


The Pioneer Union School District was founded in 1958 through the unification of:

  • Mountain School, Est 1858
  • Mt. Aukum School, Est 1860
  • River School, Est 1878
  • Fair Play School, Est. 1890
  • Willow School, Est 1904

The Pioneer Union School District is dedicated to the mission of providing students with an opportunity to academically excel to their capacity, to develop self-confidence and to become contributing members of society.

7th GRADE IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS


All students entering 7th grade for the 2014-2015 school year will need proof of the Tdap booster shot  (tetnus, diphtheria, pertussis) before they will be allowed to start school.

KINDERGARTEN ENROLLMENT CHANGES


The passage of Senate Bill (SB) 1381 (Chapter 705/2010) has instituted the following change regarding the age requirement of children entering kindergarten. Children entering kindergarten must be 5 years old by:

  • September 1 for the 2014-2015 school year and every year thereafter.

 

CHILD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS

PIONEER STATE PRESCHOOL

The El Dorado County Office of Education Child Development Programs & the Pioneer Union School District will be providing State Preschool on the Pioneer Campus beginning in August 2014.  The Program is now accepting applications for the 2014-2015 program year.  Children turning 3 or 4 years old on or before September 1, 2014 may be eligible for preschool services. 

 

When enrolling your child.....

Please bring the following documentation with you:

-Income Verification (one full month worth of income dated after April 15th)

-Birth Certificates for all children in the family

-Medi-Cal Card (or other proof of medical insurance)

-Up-to-date Immunization Records

-Social Security Card/Number

-Single Parent Verification (if applicable, divorce document, rental agreement, etc.)

A complete application requires all of the above documentation.
